Just for Kids - Spanish Level 1

Give your child the gift of learning a new language! This is the best time for your child to start their language learning journey. Because your child’s brain is like a little sponge at a young, you will be shocked at how quickly your child will begin using Spanish! Your child will be learning the basics of the Spanish language in a fun and interactive way including songs, games, skits, puppets, music, etc. Participants will receive materials to take home each week so that parents and children can practice at home. This class is intended for children ages 4-5 and Kindergarten through 8th grade and will provide an excellent introduction to the Spanish language! Class topics will include: greetings, classroom, numbers, colors, body parts, adjectives, feelings, weekdays, weather, months, family, clothing, household items, fruits, foods, verbs, alphabet!
Classes begin August 29 or September 6, 2022 - Mondays @ 5:30-6:15 pm OR Tuesdays @ 5:15-6:00 pm

Just for Kids - Spanish Level 2

In Just for Kids Spanish Level 2, your child’s Spanish language development will continue at a quick pace! Your child will review the basics of the Spanish language learned in Just for Kids Spanish Level 1 while continuing to learn new vocabulary and topics in a fun and interactive way with songs, games, skits, puppets, music, etc. Class topics will include: buildings in the city, rooms in the house, comparative adjectives, superlative adjectives, farm animals, directions, transportation, sea animals, verbs, topography, commands, leisure activities, nature, wild animals, zoo animals, higher numbers!

Just for Kids - Spanish Level 3

In Just for Kids Spanish Level 3, your child’s Spanish language development will continue at a quick pace! Your child will review the basics of the Spanish language learned in Just for Kids Spanish Level 2 while continuing to learn new vocabulary and topics in a fun and interactive way with songs, games, skits, puppets, music, etc. Class topics will include: personal pronouns, locations, feelings, insects, adjectives, professions, questions words, time expressions & several new verbs!

Just for Kids - Spanish Level 4

In Just for Kids Spanish Level 4, your child’s Spanish language development will continue at a quick pace! Your child will review the basics of the Spanish language learned in Just for Kids Spanish Level 3 while continuing to learn new vocabulary and topics in a fun and interactive way with songs, games, skits, puppets, music, etc. Class topics will include: present tense verbs, reflexive verbs, stem-changing verbs, and gustar-like verbs, plus lots of fun new vocabulary!

Just for Kids - Spanish Level 5

In Just for Kids Spanish Level 5, your child’s Spanish language development will continue at a quick pace! Your child will review the basics of the Spanish language learned in Just for Kids Spanish Level 4 while continuing to learn new vocabulary and topics in a fun and interactive way with songs, games, skits, puppets, music, etc.

In Just for Kids Spanish Level 7, your child’s Spanish language development will continue at a quick pace! Your child will review the basics of the Spanish language learned in Just for Kids Spanish Level 6 while continuing to learn new vocabulary and topics in a fun and interactive way with songs, games, skits, puppets, music, etc.

Adult Spanish Level 1

Have you ever wanted to learn another language? Did you take Spanish in High School or College and feel like you have forgotten everything? Would you benefit professionally from learning Spanish? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Chatty Chameleon Adult Spanish classes are for you! In the Level 1 course, you will learn the basics of Spanish and begin communicating using simple phrases and structures! By the end of the course you will be able to communicate with others in Spanish using simple sentences and conversation patterns!

Adult Spanish Level 2

Just for Kids - Computer Coding for Beginners (Grades 1-8)

Introduce your children to the language of computers! When kids learn how to code, they learn how to communicate ideas and solve complex problems by breaking them down into a sequence of commands the computer can understand. Coding is a rewarding skill that empowers kids to use computers to create games, animations, and interactive stories. Students will be learning how to program using Scratch, a bright and colorful graphical programming language developed at MIT. Prior programming experience is not needed, but students should be comfortable using a computer and a web browser.

Just for Kids - Robotics for All

In the Just for Kids Robotics class, students will be introduced to the world of computer programming and robotics! They will be working in cooperative groups to build their very own robot as well as learn how to program the robot to complete various challenges! This class will be fun, interactive, and will prepare students for more advanced computer programming and robotics events. Students will also be prepared to continue learning computer coding/programming and robotics in our new future classes! This class is for anyone with or without robotics experiences! Each class will be different including building different robots and completing unique challenges!

Just for Kids - American Sign Language (Beginning ASL)

Introduce your child to the wonders of learning a new language! American Sign Language!! This class is intended for children in grades 1st through 8th and will provide an excellent introduction to learning another language! Sign Language is a great way to begin language learning and can help develop better communication skills, enrich relationship, and facilitate bilingual learning!

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Chatty Chameleon Adult ASL! In the Level 2 course, you will continue to build on what was learned in Level 1 and develop your skills in the language so that you can communicate more effectively.

Home School Classes (mixed ages, including grades 9-12)

Chatty Chameleon is pleased to be able to play a part in the Home Schooling community and to be able to offer language learning for our local home schooled children! Home School families are welcome to join in on current class offerings, but we are excited to be able to offer a high school level curriculum for home schooled students as well. Please contact us for more information about high school level classes or having Chatty Chameleon create a specialized course just for your Home Schooling group.

Chatty Chameleon is pleased to be able to offer specialized language classes for your needs! We can create classes for you whether it's for your own business needs or your profession (medical, dental, law enforcement, real estate, tax accounting, corporate, etc.). We can offer a continuing class or workshop at our location or we may be able to come to you! Please contact us for more information!
